Kenzaki stands in the quarry, delighted, exhausted, and bewildered. Amane-chan is safe. Zi-O has their powers. That should keep both Jokers sealed, and, well, if it doesn’t, he can deal with it then.

For now? For now, he has a chance to actually build a life for himself again. He doesn’t have to hold himself back from contacting his friends. He scribbles his cellphone number on a scrap of paper and tucks it into Hajime’s hand (imagine, being able to touch Hajime again) and begins to stroll off.

He needs to find a place to stay. He hasn't exactly been here long; hasn't had time. Some human food. Oh, and a shower. A shower would be magnificent.

Right now, he wants to let Hajime and Amane-chan reunite without his interference. He’s not leaving town again. He just doesn’t want to be in the way, and maybe to take a couple hours to stare at a wall and let the shock of it all wash over him.

It could've been so much worse.

Tachibana blinked a few times. Then blinked a few more, looking... rather disconcerted. "...someone was... using the dead...?" he repeated, not at all happy at the thought. "And because of Kotaro's book, he thought you were as well? So he was using your image?"

"Disrespectful and appalling, yeah," Kenzaki agrees sourly. He shrugs, helpless and confused, at that one. "I'm... not entirely sure about that. Might've been because of that? Yeah, if I hadn't known he wasn't me, I would've believed it. It was a good copy. Had all of them fooled."

Says something, how well Kuroto LARPed Kenzaki. Not sure what, but something :D

"But there wouldn't have been any who would have known you," Tachibana pointed out, frown still lingering.

Kenzaki gives him a wry grin. "You have a point about that," he agrees. "I guess he could've been impaling doctors and no one would've realised it wasn't me."

Right?? Kenzaki's actor looked to have had a blast swapping type :D

The frown switched to a scowl at the very thought, a protective anger growing. "You took care of it?" Because if not... well, there weren't many favors Tachibana could call in, but if this person was still around... maybe he could do something.

“We took care of it,” Kenzaki says hastily, though it’s warming as anything to see how Tachibana-san reacts. It’s not as though he was the only one affected, or that this is the only care he’s shown for Kenzaki. It’s still really nice.

“I understand he stuck around with Ex-Aid afterwards, but I don’t know details. We stopped him that time. Me, Emu, and the dead Riders.”

"Good," Tachibana nodded, taking a deep drink from his own beer as he sat back on his chair once more.

"It's not unlikely that someone could be redeemed," he reasoned almost idly before giving a small, wry smile. "After all, consider our group," he offered. Between his own... problems, Hajime's... everything and Mutsuki's troubles with the Spider Undead...

"I'm not sure any of us were like him," Kenzaki says doubtfully. He appreciates Tachibana-san being generous, but he also just doesn't think that Tachibana or anyone else was anywhere near that bad.

....and yes, maybe that's bias. "I suppose it's possible, though. I should try to be positive."

He's found that... difficult.
